I’ve seriously been thinking about doing a makeover on my blog page. I’ve only had it up in its current form for about a year, and already I’m getting bored with it. I know that you can do all kinds of great things with WordPress. I think though, my time is better spent working on the content, instead of the window dressing.

I think I tend to do that a lot, in many areas of my life. Tending to the cosmetics, when there are really many more important things that I could be focusing on.

Do you ever find yourself staring out into space, daydreaming, when you’re supposed to be at work, being productive? Don’t lie, now. I think we all do it. Zone out for a few seconds–or minutes– when we are supposed to focused on the task at hand. Doing the cosmetic, design work on my web page may be just an avoidance contact, if I haven’t already done my daily entry.

Time to get that blog facelift onto my calendar, and give the time it deserves, but no more than that!

I’ve had this blog up and running now for almost a year. I’ve never been all that religious about updating it. That changes today. My quest for current, cogent content and information to share with my friends and family starts today.

I’ve been thinking that the ideal blog is a landing ground. It’s a place to come to see what a person or a company is up to. And “up to” on more than a superficial level. On any given day you should be able to see on my blog: who I’ve talked to, what work I’ve engaged in, and how much fuel I burned on the way to work. That varied and at that level of detail.

So, I’ll check back in at the end of the day. You too?
