Magic in Verona

The last few days in Verona, Wisconsin at Epic’s Intergalactic Headquarters, has been amazing. I think that somehow everyone that’s here secretly wishes that some of Judy’s magic and perhaps some her billions might rub off on them.

You really can’t help but be impressed, not only with Epic campus, but with the excellence Ms. Faulkner has surrounded herself with–has deliberately ingrained into her life and her reputation. Does it sound like I’m gushing? No, really. I thought I’d be able to find something to criticize. The food or the instruction or the location, for that matter. I couldn’t. It has all been immaculate. Even the hotel and transportation, which Judy doesn’t own, has been imbued with the Epic magic.

As I leave today, filled with inspiration and a new spike of energy and hope for my continued career in healthcare, all I wish and look forward to is my future participation in this enterprise–this Epic thing.

(Judy Faulkner has said she doesn’t want to be in the spotlight, that this isn’t all about her. I can’t help thinking though, that if it isn’t all about her, where could this magic be coming from?)
